Rehabilitative Nursing That Makes a Difference
Rehabilitation nurses are a key component in our hospital’s interdisciplinary team approach to rehabilitation. Our nurses deliver the specialized daily care and compassion needed for recovery and healing, and work under the doctor’s supervision. Our nursing care is also provided 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Nurses are an integral part of the rehabilitation team and help meet patients needs while they work toward independence.
Some of our nurses have also earned the special designation of certified rehabilitation registered nurse (CRRN®). This indicates that a registered nurse has attained specialized expertise in caring for individuals undergoing rehabilitation. Nurses with this designation have worked in the rehabilitative care setting for two of the past five years, have a minimum of one-year of advanced training in rehabilitation nursing, and passed a three-hour 175 question CRRN® exam.
Becoming a Patient
Our hospital provides care for those who are ready to be discharged from a hospital but not ready to return home. Treatment and care is designed to bridge the gap between hospital and home. Anyone who is limited functionally from an injury or illness can benefit from rehabilitation.
